01550 760400Our learners and residents recently took part in a fire drill, an important part of our health and safety procedures. As part of the drill we prepare them for the event by letting them know that it is going to happen and what to expect when it does.
This is so important for our young people. We need to prepare them for the smallest of changes to their routine. Something like a fire drill is a major event for them.
We use different methods of communication for this as part of our commitment to total communications, including sequence sliders, objects of reference, photos and walk through's, for example, visiting assembly points.
