Work Experience

Finding opportunities to match individuals’ aspirations and interests.

A fundamental component for leading a meaningful, fulfilling life is finding realistic paid or unpaid work. To support the creation of an active purposeful existence, wherever possible, we provide the opportunity to engage in work experience opportunities in line with individuals’ aspirations and interests.

Meaningful work could be as simple as laying a table in our B&B, stacking cans in our community shop, or helping in our small holding. When a learner or resident is ready we have many excellent links with businesses outside the community where further work experience opportunities can be pursued. Some of the companies we work with include, the Co-op, the National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Aberglasney House and Gardens, Lleuest Pony Trust, Many Tears Animal Rescue, Debenhams and Llandovery Station cafe.
