We have new arrivals on our smallholding this week. Two female pygmy goats called Holly, and Phyllis, have joined us from a family in the valleys.
Being browsers rather than grazers they will help clear and keep down brambles and other scrub around the smallholding. They are a small breed and as you can see from the pictures, very sociable making them ideal for our learners and residents to interact with. They have only been with us for a couple of days and they are so friendly as Richard and Ellie found out.

Holly and Phyllis are both 2 years old and we hope that next year when we introduce them to a suitable billy goat, they will breed for us. We are all looking forward to the possibility of having some new kids on the block!
