Garnllwyd Barns

Family-feel living in the Vale of Glamorgan

Garnllwyd Barns was generously gifted to Elidyr Communities Trust by a family. It was officially opened in 2025 and is now home to five young people with learning disabilities. 

The spacious property has a wonderful farmhouse kitchen, large lounge, pool, gardens and tennis courts.

Garnllwyd Barns is a fantastic building, set in several acres of countryside.

Life at Garnllwyd Barns is busy! During the summer everyone has been enjoying the grounds and making use of the lovely outdoor swimming pool.

Inside the house everyone gets stuck in to chores, like cooking and cleaning. There is a huge farmhouse kitchen, with lots of space.

Our residents operate like any group of young people in a shared house, taking it in turns to make meals and tidy up. The garden is amazing and lots of plants are nurtured in our greenhouse.

Every day is different and we like to go out and about for trips to the beach, the cinema and local museums and attractions. Plus getting supplies in at our local supermarket.
