At our main site in Rhandirmwyn, near Llandovery, we run and manage a specialist residential further education college (Coleg Elidyr) alongside a community residency programme (Inclusive Lives) which offers long term placements.
Our approach gives people the space and time they need to thrive, and this was recently recognised by Estyn who have highlighted the educational provision we offer as sector leading as well as numerous areas of exceptional delivery.
Living and learning at Coleg Elidyr for young people aged 18 and above
Young people are able to access our provision from age 18. If you know someone who would benefit from a place on our Foundation Education Programme, your application will typically come through your local authority.
Each learner or resident who receives a placement is funded through a statutory grant.
Our site in Carmarthenshire offers space and time to thrive
Our 180 acre site includes a small holding, 8 houses, gym, modern learning hub, craft workshops and a shop. We have a highly skilled and committed staff team, we offer enriched, personalised support including specialist therapeutic interventions, vocational learning, regular participation in creative workshops, and daily access to beautiful outdoor spaces and activity. This is how we transform lives.
We know that supporting a family member as they move from adolescence to adulthood is tough
Mainstream colleges may not always provide the specialist settings some learners need to make meaningful progress. We understand this and work closely with families as they navigate their way into specialist further education.
