We are delighted to introduce Llandovery's first ever colour run! Organised to raise funds for Elidyr Communities Trust and supported by both Llandovery rugby and football clubs. It's a fun event designed to appeal to children and grown ups.

A Colour Run is a fun, non-competitive event where participants run or walk through a course with colour powder thrown at designated stations. It’s all about enjoyment, movement, and vibrant celebration.

Get ready for a colour explosion.

The course is a 1K lap and the run is open for 45 minutes - how many laps can you do in that time? Remember, you're running for fun and getting colourful for a cause! Feel free to stop whenever you want!

The coloured powder

  • Powder is non-toxic and biodegradable, but avoid inhaling or getting it in eyes.
  • Please don't bring your own powder into the event. Only powder provided can be used in the race.
  • There will be plenty of powder flying around but if you feel like you need more, small bags will be available to buy for £1.

Tips to minimise staining from colour powder

  • Wear old clothes or a white t-shirt to increase impact - powder may stain light fabrics.
  • Dust off excess powder before washing.
  • Wash clothes separately in cold water soon after the event.
  • Avoid wearing suede, leather, or delicate fabrics.
  • Use hair oil or conditioner before the event to protect light-coloured hair.
  • Consider wearing a hat or bandana to shield hair.

Post-run fun

  • Enjoy food stalls, refreshments and entertainment, once you've finished running.
  • Participate in the raffle.

Health & safety advice

  • Qualified first aiders will be on site.
  • Marshals will be stationed along the route - please follow their instructions.
  • Report any injuries or concerns to the nearest marshal or first aider.
