01550 760400It was an absolute pleasure to welcome a group of PGCE students to site from Coleg Sir Gâr yesterday. We work closely with Coleg Sir Gâr, who are also located in Carmarthenshire. During this visit the education team demonstrated our approach. It was an opportunity for the visiting students to see firsthand what we do.
Therapy is a crucial part of what we offer and each learner has a therapeutic programme tailored to their needs. The team did a great job showcasing the impact of speech and language therapy and occupational therapy.
Students were also invited to observe a number of sessions in action including animal care, horticulture, skills in the kitchen, craft and ICT.
You can’t beat visiting a specialist FE college and experiencing skilled teaching in action, it brings theory to life. It was great to show these PGCE students how we help young people with additional learning needs progress and be the best they can be.
