On Friday our drama group put on a performance of 'Elidyr Brick Road', a story with references to our 50 year history based around the very famous 'Yellow Brick Road'
A star studded cast included Faith as Dorothy, Jacob as Tinman, Gwilym as Lion, Sam as Glinda, Leon as Scarow, Ellie as Wicked Witch, and Laurence as Wizard with outstanding narration from Leah.

The performances throughout from everyone involved was oustanding with some excellent reading from Faith, Sam, Ellie and Leah who each contributed to telling the story.
Caught in a storm, Dorothy is swept into a magical world where only the Wizard can send her home. She is joined on her travels by a scarecrow, a tin man, and a lion as she braves enchanted paths, a wicked foe, and the adventure of a lifetime - only to discover that the strength she needed was inside her all along.
She also meets Iulian, the Great Romanian Wanderer, who tells her that every journey needs a little chaos, and that 50 is the magic number!
They carefully make their way along a spiral path with glowing lights guiding them onward. A sign reads "50 candles to light the way".

Ultimately they learn that everything that they have been looking for is already within them, and that they need to believe and trust in themselves in order to achieve what they want.
It was an inspirational and entertaining performance from everyone. Well done!
