If you have decided that the dawn of this New Year should bring with it the start of a new career for you, then we may be able to help.

Stable Employment

With the ever-changing state of the workplace due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a new career in care with Elidyr Communities Trust could offer the stability that many other sectors don’t. No zero hours contracts here. You’ll know exactly how many hours you’ll be working each week and you’ll be entitled to holiday pay, sick pay and extra money for overtime shifts.

Interesting Work

Elidyr Communities Trust is not a stereotypical care provider, working as a support worker with young adults with additional learning needs can be hard work at times but it can also be extremely rewarding, and it is never dull! Working with us can bring incredible job satisfaction, fun and a strong sense of self-worth, helping to provide our learners and residents to live their lives full of meaning and purpose.

Life Changing Experiences

Many people who have started a new career with us are amazed by the impact our learners and residents have on their lives. There are so many preconceptions about working in care that really dont fit here, so we recently enlisted the help of one of our lovely team members, Natasha, to help bust a few myths by sharing her experience working with us.

My mother kept suggesting I apply for a job at Elidyr Communities Trust, she said its not like other care homes Tash, give it a go. Youve got the right temperament. For once I listened to her and applied. It was the best decision Ive made!”

Full Training Given

You do not need previous experience or any specific qualifications, as we provide all the necessary training, but you should be friendly, pragmatic, and hard working. You will learn lots of interesting new skills, such as sign language. There are also opportunities to progress through the organisation. Today we have tutors, managers and office staff who started with us as support workers.

Great Working Environment

If thats not enough to tempt you, your working environment couldnt be more interesting. We are set in 180 acres of the beautiful Towy Valley near Llandovery. We have our own on-site shop, craft workshops and a  gymnasium, as well as lots of friendly animals. We also provide all your meals for you whilst you are on shift.

All this, along with a competitive salary and opportunities for overtime with excellent hourly rates.

If you would like to see for yourself what we do, why not book a recruitment taster day? This is an excellent opportunity to have a tour and ask any questions.
